I would like to take this opportunity to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge this lovely show, and the very warm welcome I received. I would also like to thank my ring stewards for there help throughout the day, and the exhibitors for taking all my decisions with such good grace, and making the whole day a wonderful memory for me.

 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Veteran Dog (3/2)

 

1st Gows, Lyncraeg Dream Angus ShCm

10 year old Blenheim dog, lovely masculine dog, with large dark eyes, well cushioned muzzle and nice expression.  Good reach of neck, leading into well laid shoulders, level topline.  Good spring of rib.  Lovely front and rear angulation, moved round the ring, not aware of his veteran years. Happy to award him best veteran in show.

 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Minor Puppy (2/0)

 

1st Miss D Kerrs, Kinvaar Brodick

6 month old Blenheim dog and very much a baby, but everything in the right place for his age.  Large dark eyes, and jet black nose, with a lovely expression. Good reach of neck and well laid shoulder, level topline and good tailset.  Well marked in good condition.

 

2nd Mr I & Mrs A Gibb Stuarts, Tanglewood Chase the ace

Another 6 month old ruby baby, who showed his little socks off for his owner, put down in lovely coat and condition, large dark eyes, with a well cushioned muzzle, good neck and shoulder, good spring of rib,  moved well front and rear.

1st Miss D kerrs Kinvaar Jump the gun

11 month old Blenheim dog, which has lots to offer, he is a lovely size and presents a well balanced picture.  Well marked coat that was in great condition.  Nice head with a large dark eye and jet black nose.  Holds a level topline on the move, and drives well from his well turned stifles. Was more then happy to award him BPIS

 

2nd Mrs G Blairs, Bellflows Gentle little man

11 month old Blenheim dog, with not quite the maturity of one, but still very pleasing on the eye.  Presented in lovely condition.  Nice size and shape, with well laid shoulders and and nice straight rear quarters.  Needs to settle a little for his owner.

 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Junior (5/1)

 

1st F & J Ballantine, Middleshot King of Hearts

12 months old Blenheim dog, who showed his little socks off for his owner, lovely head and expression, with expressive large dark eyes, and a well cushioned muzzle, good reach of neck and nice lay to shoulder, good spring of rib, level top line and good tailset.  Moved with drive front and rear. Shown in lovely coat and condition.

 

2nd Miss D Kerrs, Bonniemadra trigger happy at kinvaar

Black and tan of only 12months, in fantastic coat and condition with tan in all the right places.  Good reach to neck and short back, good angles to shoulders and well let down hocks.  Moved with drive when settled.

1st Mrs G Blairs, Lorankas Summer moments at Bellflows

18 month old Blenheim dog, well broken coat that was in lovely condition, shown well by his handler.  Moved with drive front and rear, nice head with large eyes, with jet black nose.

 

2nd Mr & Mrs Bibby, Butlerfield Summer pudding.

6 year old, who was presented in good coat.  Large expressive eyes and a well cushioned muzzle, good reach to neck leading into a nice short back and good tailset.  Moved well when settled.

 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Novice (4/0)

 

1st Mrs    & Ms H & D Campbell & Kerr, Bentwood Carlos

When this beautiful tri colour dog entered the ring I immediately loved him, Beautiful head and expression with a well cushioned muzzle and well set ears. Lovely reach to  neck, leading into well laid shoulders, good spring to rib and nice short back. Lovely top line that he held on the move. Well let down hocks and nice bend to stifle, moved with drive front and rear.  Presented in lovely coat and condition. Well handled was happy to award BD and later BIS

1st Mr I & Mrs A Gibb Stuarts, Chantismere push my button.

2 ½ year old Blenheim dog, who was handled to get the best out of him, has a lovely head with a nice expression, large dark eyes, and well cushioned muzzle.  Good reach to neck and nice lay to shoulder.  Has a good spring to his rib, and well angulated rear.  Moved with drive front and rear. Lovely size and well balanced overall.  Pushed hard in the challenge.

 

2nd Mrs J Timbers, Leskarpru thisbe cherry JW

18 month old heavily marked Blenheim, who was the baby of this class, but still a lot to like.  Nice head and expression with a large expressive eye.  Presented a balanced picture, with a level top line and good tailset.  Shown in lovely coat and good condition.  Nice size.

 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel  Post Graduate Dog (5/2)

 

1st A & J Beattie, Brymarden Carolina Sunset for norcrest

Blenheim dog of a larger mould, with a lovely head and large dark expressive eyes, well set ears.  Good length to neck, in lovely coat and shown to get the best from him. Lovely angles to his front and rear and moved with drive round the ring. Good spring of rib. Really enjoying his time in the ring.

 

2nd M Baillie, Peakdown skyfall at cavallino

smaller Blenheim dog, who presents a lovely picture on the stand.  Very well put together, with a lovely head with a soft expression and large dark eyes. Moved well, and gave his all to his handler.

 

Cavalier King Charles spaniel Post Graduate Dog (Black/Tan, Ruby) (3/1)

 

1st L Fraser, Costara Ruadh at Lyncraeg

6 year old ruby dog, with a rich ruby coat.  Presented in lovely condition.  Presented a well balanced picture.  Lovely head and expression with large dark eyes.  Good reach of neck and well sprung rib.  Held a level top line on the move.  Good tailset.  Moved with drive front and rear.  Showed well for his handler.

 

2nd L Fraser, Tingewood Tomintoul

5 yr old ruby dog who gave his owner a tough time.  Compact dog, with a good spring to ribs, presented in good coat.  Lovely richness to his ruby coat.  Good head and eye.  Moved with drive front and rear.

 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Limit Dog (5/0)

 

1st M Baillie, Peakdown Ryan at cavallino

Loved this dog as he entered the ring, lovely head and soft expression, well cushioned muzzle and large dark expressive eyes, well set ears.  Well broken Blenheim coat, that was presented in good condition.  Moved and showed well for his owner.  Good reach of neck and a well laid shoulder, well let down hock.

More heavily marked Blenheim.  Who presented a balanced picture. Nice head and large eye, good reach to neck, nice short back and  level topline, good tail set, moved well, with drive.  Showed well for his owner.

1st P & E Rogersons, Rabymar Super Ted.

4 ½ year old ruby dog, rich ruby coat that was presented in gleaming condition. Large eyes, lovely head and expression, well cushioned muzzle, good reach to neck, leading into a well laid shoulder.  Level topline and good tailset. Moved with drive from his well angulated rear. Good spring of rib.  Showed well for his handler was more then happy to award him BD and later RBIS.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel special Vintage (8/3)

 

1st Mrs L Gow, Lyncraeg Genevieve at glenlora

Now this class was the hardest of the day for me, what a testament to the breed to see so many beautiful oldies in one class, and the hardest to pick.

11 year old Blenheim bitch in amazing condition for her age, I think some one had forgotten to tell her how old she was.  Lovely head with large dark, expressive eyes, In fantastic condition and still well muscled, which some of the younger dogs could do with.  Moved round the ring with great drive.  Level topline and tailset. Lovely well broken coat.

 

2nd Mrs E Glen, Sandbrae beyond the blue.

11 year old black and tan, who still presented a well balanced picture.  Huge coat that was in lovely condition, tan in all the right places, lovely head with large expressive eyes.  Short back leading into well turned stifles.  Moved and showed well for her owner.

1st Mr R A & E Waddington, Spindlepoint Daisy

Lovely 6 month old Blenheim bitch, with everything in the right place for her age, Beautiful markings on a pearly white background, feminine head, with large eyes and soft expression.  Good length to neck, and nice lay of shoulder leading into level topline and good tailset.  Well angulated rear that made her move round the ring with drive.  Showed well for such a youngster. BPB

 

2nd Miss D Kerr, Kinvaar Ti Amo,

Similar notes too winner in this class, lots too like, just needs to settle to get the best from her, but still only six months so plenty of time for that.

1st Mrs G Blairs, Bellflows kissed by a angel

11 month old Blenheim bitch, gave her owner a tough time, but when settled showed off her well made body, nice head and expression, lovely dark pigment, good front and rear angulation, moved with drive

1st Mr R A & Mrs E Waddingtons, Ricksbury Rosebark at Spindlepoint.

15 month old Blenheim bitch, of the correct size and shape, shown in  good coat and condition, lovely head, with large dark expressive eyes, well cushioned muzzle, well placed ears.  Good reach of neck, well laid shoulder. Good turn of stifle, held her topline at all times, moved round the ring with drive giving her owners her best at all times was happy to award her BB

 

2nd MR I & Mrs A Gibb Stuarts, Timbric the look of love

Another Blenheim, that gave her all for her owners today, shown in lovely condition, well broken coat.  Feminine head, with large dark expressive eyes. Moved with drive, showing her level topline and good tailset.

1st Mr J W Finlays, Grajenco Who Am I At Marisk

Ruby bitch who made her owner work in this class, rich ruby coat, feminine head with very expressive large dark eyes, lovely pigment, good length of back and well placed tail that did not stop wagging,  well laid shoulder and well angulated rear. Moved with drive front and rear.

 

2nd Mrs E Glen, Trusties Harmony Haida to sandbrae (IMP NLD)

Ruby bitch shown in lovely coat and great condition, needed to settle to show off what she is made of, lovely head and large dark eyes, good pigment. Moved well, on her well muscled rear.

1st P & E Rogersons , Rabymar Love Potion

17 month old black and tan who is of the correct size and shape, with beautiful large dark eyes, and a melting expression, she is shown in lovely coat and condition, moves well holding her topline and tailset at all times.  Was disappointed not to be able to judge her in my final line up due to a earlier missed class.

 

2nd Mrs C White, Lyncraeg leading light at carleny

Blenheim bitch who gave her owner a tough time today, shown in good coat and condition,  beautifully marked, feminine head and large dark eyes,  presented a well balanced picture when settled, moved with drive round the ring.

Bigger bitch then the winner, well marked tri colour in good coat.  Needs to settle to show off what she has to offer.  Femine head, with a large expressive eyes.  Good reach of neck and level topline and good tailset.  Moved well.

1st Mrs C White, Cavallino Buttons

Very feminine Blenheim bitch of a lovely size and shape, pretty  head with large dark eyes.  Well angulated front and rear, moved round the ring with drive, presented a balanced picture, gave her all to her owner, shown in lovely coat and condition.

 

2nd Mrs G Blair, Jadechar Olympia of Bellflows

3 year old Blenheim bitch shown in full coat, good front angulation and  reach to neck.  Level topline and good tailset. Feminine head and nice eyes.

Black and tan bitch, with lovely rich tan in all the right places. Feminine head.  Presented a balanced picture on the stand and when moving.  Held her topline at all times  and her tail never stopped wagging.  Well muscled and presented in lovely condition.

Lovely Blenheim bitch who is of the correct size and shape, presents such a balanced picture when standing and on the move, feminine head and nice expression, large dark eyes and well set ears.  Well angulated shoulders and good length of back.  Moved with drive and gave her owner her all at all times.  As with all dogs from this kennel shown in great condition and muscle, RBB

Ruby girl shown in lovely coat and condition, feminine head and large dark eyes.  Well angulated shoulder and good length of back, and well placed tail.  Moved round the ring with drive.  Clearly loved her job.
